The Canada-China Cultural Development Association (CCCDA) is a registered non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization. Its objects are to exchange culture and arts to promote and develop friendship between Canada and China, as well as contribute to Canadian multiculturalism. The Canada-China Cultural Development Association is gradually increasing the number of events it organizes for Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal, and soon hopes to bring them to both Eastern and Western Canada. The CCCDA has a number of shows booked for the summer and fall of 2010 and early 2011 with the Sony Centre, the National Arts Centre, and other smaller venues. Events it has organized include: 1 “Spring Concert 2010” performed by the China Broadcasting Traditional Orchestra in March 2010 in Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. 2 “Carnival China Style – 2010 New Year Show” performed by the China Broadcasting Arts Troupe in January 2010 at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto & Centre Pointe Theatre in Ottawa. 3 “Autumn Festival Variety Show” performed by the China Federation of Literary & Arts Circles (total 5 shows in Canada) in September 2009 at Centre Pointe Theatre in Ottawa, and MacMillan Theatre in Toronto. 4 Beijing Hanggai Throat-Singing Band concert (total 3 shows in Canada), including 1 show April 2009 as a CBC Radio Montreal International Earth Day Concert invitee. 5 “Chinese New Year Variety Show” performed by the China Broadcasting Arts Troupe in February 2009 in Chicago and Los Angeles . 6. “Chinese songs concert” performed by Chaieman George and his band. Ottawa. National Arts Centre. Decenber 2008. 7 “Chinese New Year Variety Show” performed by the China Broadcasting Arts Troupe in January 2008 in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver . 8 “Autumn Festival” a variety show performed by the Beijing All-Stars Arts Troupe (total 5 shows in Canada) in September 2007, at the Centre Pointe Theatre, Ottawa. 9 “Dance Drama” performed by China Hu Bei Youth Arts Troupe, (total 6 shows in Canada), July 2007 at the Museum of Civilization Museum & Centre Pointe Theatre, Ottawa. |
